Hello everyone.
I am going to attempt to start the path to acheive wholeness in my life, I allow myself time for the things in my life that brings me happiness and joy. Through that I hope to change somethings that needs to be changed. I do schedule time for myself which is working very well for me at this point, physical fitness is one the things that I have certainly set aside time for, I workout several times per week, it truly is a wonderful feeling.

Awesome! Glad you make 'me' time. I try to do this everyday but since the birth of my son, those times are now far and few. Working out is a passion of mine too but again...lack of time. Spending time watching my son learn and grow just takes precedence. I try to squeeze in little stuff but that's not how I normally like to workout. I like to break a sweat!

Karen, do you have tips on how you set that time aside for yourself? If so, are you willing to share them? And, do you find that working out with others or by yourself is more fulfilling for you? Why do you think that way?
ReplyDeleteAs for me, I schedule my "me" time, or I will never take it. And, I like to work out alone. I find it to be part of that "me" time, and I am intrinsically motivated and am able to push myself to reach or push past my goals.
I look forward to learning more about you this term.
Karen that is good that you have decided to bring wholeness in your life. When you do achieve this you will probably feel like a new person. That seems that would be the first things to getting wholeness is making time for yourself daily and learning to relax more.
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed that you are taking the initiative to set aside time to work out! I lack the motivation for taht, right now! I feel so good when I excercise on a regular basis, but, I cannot get myself out of this slump. Do you have any ideas? ANd, congratulations on doing something that is good for you!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to see others make time for themselves for such things as physical activitiy. If anything I make more time for meditation and quiet space. It seem that in my line of work if there is m=one thing that I lack it is quiet time away from giving of myself. So I need to rechage that area so that I have more energy for physical stuff. Yesterday though I made it to the beach and that was like killing 2 birds with one stone. The beach helps to reduce stress, the salt water helps with inflamation of muscles and I was able to smim, toss a football, eat a good lunch, and catch up on some needed rest while making some time for reading homework...good stuff!
